Virtual Sacred Art Tour - Sacred Art has been viewed to bring parishioners towards the Sacrament for centuries. Join us as we see how artists thought about European Christian Art such as the Madonna, The Saints, the Adoration of the Magi, and sacred symbols. Over the course of two hours, we will view from both the collection of the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC., and other world-famous art museums. Your Art Historian tour guide will explore what each painting and sculpture is communicating. Our well-curated tour is not a sermon but a focus on the art created in honor of the Scripture. Your Tour Guide Meghan Hanson started out her career with a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in Anthropology focusing on Museum Studies and complimenting it with an Art History minor. She spent a few years as the Guest Services Coordinator for the Frank Lloyd Wright Robie House in Chicago, IL. It was there that she was able to truly experience the interplay between life and art.
